Wait… has two months passed already? It’s already March? No public holidays? Well, it’s time to get back on track (if you haven’t) and back on board! We have our instructor Stephanie coming up with the challenge poses this month. Say hi to her when you see her at the studio!
Kukkuta! It’s the year of the rooster! Time to puff up your chest and prepare your thighs, cos it’s challenge time! Can’t do it? Wing it!
As usual, we shall go straight into poses and not mention things like pinapple tarts, bak kwa, and yusheng. Onward!
Happy 2017! Last year was a great one for us, and we’re thankful for all the support and love we’ve been given by all of you! Now, on to better things this year – and by better things, we mean challenges!
We think January is a great way to kick off the year, with the first official working day on the 3rd; the fewer working days (18 by some counts); and of course, Chinese new year! In between all these revelry, we do hope you give us some time and attention to get on board with us!
This month, we’ve got our cover girl, Hot Momma, demonstrating the challenge poses. She’s also the one drawing up these cute stick figures! (What can we say? She’s multi-talented.)
It’s November! We promise not to start playing any Christmas jingles in our studio just yet, so don’t worry.
New models for this month’s challenge poses! They were all willing participants and none were harmed in the capturing of these photos. But first – our regular stick figure stars!
It’s October! It’s officially the month of Autumn (sadly, not in Singapore), Deepavali (on a Saturday?!), and Halloween (only at month-end!).
Everyone had fun last month with our challenge poses, especially with all the teaming up in Warrior partner poses. This month, we’ve included another partner pose for getting all snuggly with a chum.
Everybody gets extra points for doing challenge poses in scary costumes! OK, sexy also can la.
I think we overused the Greenday references last year, so we shall refrain from talking about sleeping in September. So, let’s talk about working out. Challenge poses for the month of September are up! We’re going with some pretty challenging poses this month.
August is here! We count one public holiday (National day), one festival (Hungry Ghost), and one season (durian).
We also count three challenge poses for you people. Yoga poses!
- Warrior II – get grounded and open your hips and chest, like a warrior.
- Baby Crow – balance on your arms, like a baby crow.
- UTTHITA HASTA PADANGUSTASANA – gosh we hope we spelt that right. Catch a tiger by its toe.

For fitness and nutrition, we always preach the keyword – moderation. However, some days it’s good to turn things up a notch and bring things into the extreme.
That’s exactly what we’re going for on the 26th of December, 2015 – BACK TO BACK BURNS! It’s a promotional day where we will run two full-session classes back to back, starting with Balance for 45 minutes, and continuing with Core or Sweat for another 45 minutes! Here’s the deal: this will only count as a single session in your package.
It’ll be the day after Christmas, so it’s going to be perfect for burning off all that Christmas eating and drinking revelry. A superb way to get yourself into shape for making New Year’s resolutions, if you ask us.
It’s that time of the year! Time for holidays, snacking, clearing leave, Christmas, and thinking – I’ll just start next year! Well, procrastinate no more, for we have decreed our SURFSET Challenge poses for December. Snacking is the best reason to exercise more, and here we have our three yoga poses to challenge you into getting ready for even more eating during the festive season.
